Founded in 2013 by Ram (Rami) Ozeri, The Jerusalem Biennale is dedicated to exploring the places where contemporary art meets the Jewish and Israeli experience.
It is a grand stage for contemporary artists who reference Jewish and Israeli thought, spirit, tradition, or experience in their work to exhibit their work in Jerusalem.

Rami Ozeri
Founding Director
Rami is the Founding Director of The Jerusalem Biennale.
After earning his BA (summa cum laude) in Philosophy, Political Science and Economics (PPE) and an MA in Economics, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Rami worked for a few years as an economist. At the age of 30 he decided to make a change in his life and signed up to the Fine Arts department of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Four years later Rami introduced The Jerusalem Biennale - a platform dedicated to Contemporary Jewish Art.
Rami initiated, directed and produced more than a hundred exhibitions, mostly in Jerusalem but also in NYC, LA, Miami, San Diego and Tel Aviv. He combines in his work entrepreneurship, curation, management, and writing. In 2023 Rami was listed by The Jerusalem Post as one of 10 Iconic Israelis Who Call Jeruasalem Home. See HERE.
Rami lives with his wife Amy and their five children in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem.
Ram Malca
Producer
After serving as Vice President of the "Basher" chain, he made a full transition into the city's cultural scene, leading productions for major events such as the Israel Festival and the Jerusalem Jazz Festival, alongside his role as partner and marketing lead at "Connecta". A recent graduate in Body Psychotherapy (Biosynthesis), Ram is driven by a passion for transforming creative visions into vibrant urban spaces of art and connection. When he isn't behind the scenes of large-scale productions, he explores analog aesthetics—shooting on film and spinning hip-hop on vinyl as DJ Ramchuk.
Sarena Sacks
Chief Operating Officer
Sarena is the Chief Operating Officer of the Jerusalem Biennale, overseeing operations, strategic partnerships, and the coordination of exhibitions and programs.
She holds a BA in Philosophy from York University and an MA in Art History and Museum Curatorship from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She has worked across several museums and cultural institutions in Israel.
Prior to joining the Biennale, Sarena spent over nine years at Yad Vashem in the Public Engagement Division, where she coordinated high-level official visits for heads of state, diplomats, cultural leaders, and international delegations.
Sharon Barak
Exhibition Designer
Sharon Barak is a cross-disciplinary designer whose work bridges exhibitions, space design, storytelling, and visual communication. She studied Visual Communication at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and has since designed museums, heritage sites, visitor centers, theatre and television sets, immersive experiences, and a wide range of cultural projects.
With a rich background in education and the performing arts-both on stage and behind the scenes-Sharon brings the dynamic creativity of a practicing artist to her space design work. Her multidisciplinary practice spans exhibition and concept design, art direction, set design, and creative production.
Sharon combines a strong sense of storytelling, hands-on production expertise, and a deep passion for creating meaningful encounters between people, objects, and ideas.
Dr. Ido Noy
Catalogue Editor
Dr. Ido Noy is a Jerusalem-based cultural entrepreneur, art historian, and curator specializing in Jewish art, history, popular culture, and folklore. He earned his B.F.A. from the Department of Jewelry and Fashion at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2006) and his Ph.D. in Art History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2018), where he was a member of the Mandel School Honors Program. His diverse research and curatorial work ranges from ancient numismatics and medieval wedding jewelry to contemporary Jewish art and 1980s popular culture.
Noy has initiated, curated, and participated in solo and group exhibitions both locally and internationally, partnering with institutions such as The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, the Jerusalem Biennale, the Rishon LeZion Museum, the Museum for Islamic Art, Tisch Gallery in NYC, the Old Synagogue in Erfurt, Germany, and the Jewish Museum in Halberstadt. His extensive cultural leadership experience includes roles as Deputy Director and Director of Content for the Jerusalem Biennale, Director of Operations for the Musrara School of Art, and CEO of the c.a.t.a.m.o.n dance group, and Board member of the Ein Dor Museum.

Amos Fried
Adv. Legal Counsel
Advocate Amos Fried serves as legal advisor to The Jerusalem Biennale.
He is a licensed member of both the Israel and New York State Bar Associations and has been practicing law in Jerusalem for over 30 years. Amos specializes in civil litigation, commercial law, and criminal representation.
Happily married to the consummate Jerusalemite artist, Avigail Fried, Amos has been a lover of the arts since early childhood, enjoying hours with his father in the Art Institute in his native Chicago.
Lydia Weitzman

Lydia was part of the founding team of The Jerusalem Biennale. She is passionate about Israel and has worked for many years with the international media, promoting tourism, culture, and lifestyle in the country. Lydia is proud to represent The Jerusalem Biennale, the largest platform in the world for contemporary Jewish and Israeli art.
Eitam Tubul
Branding Design
Eitam is the founder and partner in Grotesca Studio, which specializes in design and branding for the cultural sector.
After graduating with a bachelor's degree in general literature and philosophy at the Hebrew University, Eitam graduated from Hadassah College’s Department of Visual Communication.
Eitam is an image-making enthusiast, an expert at branding strategy processes, and loves strumming the strings of his bass guitar. At night he dreams of design interfaces.
Eitan is also the initiator and designer of the "Amulets Authority," a project that was displayed at the Israel Museum, in municipal galleries, and on the streets of Jerusalem.
He is the director and designer of "City Tale” and jointly curated the exhibitions "Bad Design", "Manipulation", “Without Words" and many others.
He is always thinking about his next project.

Revital Stern
Revital is a prominent figure in the fields of arts education, cinema, in Israel.
For decades, she served as a "National Supervisor" at the Ministry of Education,
where she spearheaded the establishment of hundreds of study tracks in communication, theatre, and dance. Parallel to her administrative career, Stern is an active documentary filmmaker, directing works that explore historical memory and sensitive social issues. Her extensive educational background includes advanced arts studies alongside a specialization in Photo Therapy, which she currently utilizes
as a supportive tool for women at risk. Furthermore, she contributes her expertise as an academic lecturer and as a member of professional selection committees for
various film funds and cultural initiatives.
Bracha Zuriel
Bracha has extensive experience in growing organizations, working with lay leadership, fundraising and connecting Americans and Israelis. She is a Founding Partner at E.B. Zuriel Solutions, Inc, serving Israeli and US organizations as well as Jewish federations and non-profits in project management, creating cross cultural connections, improving their fund raising, volunteer development, strategic visioning, etc.
Dov Abramson
Dov Abramson is Jerusalem-based designer and artist whose work explores the tensions in contemporary Jewish and Israeli identity and culture. A graduate of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, he was awarded the Felheim Typography Award for his attempt to re-design the classic Talmud page. Dov's work can be found in the collections of the Israel Museum, the Jewish Museum in New York, and The Ein Harod Art Museum. He lives in the Katamonim neighborhood with his wife Sarit and their three daughters.
Advisory Committee
Neta Cohen
Neta Cohen is a cultural entrepreneur, content developer, and visitor experience manager with nearly 20 years of experience at the Israel Museum, Jerusalem. She currently heads the museum’s Visitor Services Department, where she oversees visitor experience, service, content, and audience development. Throughout her career, Cohen has initiated and led numerous cultural and artistic projects, including dance and multidisciplinary events, digital content series, and programs promoting cultural inclusion. She holds a BA in Political Science, Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies and an MA in Cultural Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Cohen is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Jerusalem Biennale and a graduate of several leadership programs in the fields of cultural and public leadership.
Dr. Susan Nashman Fraiman
Dr. Susan Nashman Fraiman is an independent researcher, lecturer and curator of both Jewish and Israeli art. She served as the Collection Manager of the Yad Vashem Art Museum, taught at the Rothberg International School of Hebrew University and curated exhibitions of Israeli art. She is a member of the advisory committee of the 2026 Jerusalem Biennale. Her writing and recorded talks can be accessed at artinisrael.net.
Dr. Aviva Winter
Dr. Aviva Winter is an Art Historian, Curator, and Art Critic. Her research and activity focus on Jewish and religious identity in contemporary Israeli art and art during and after the Holocaust. Roskin Winter is a founding member of "Studio of Her Own" – a center for promoting women artists and multicultural discourse in Jerusalem. Her public activities include membership in the Israel Council for Culture and the Arts, as well as membership in the judging committee of the Uri Orbach Prize for Jewish Culture and the expert committee for Yad Ben-Zvi's survey of mural art in Israel. In addition, Roskin Winter is involved in art restitution cases in Israel and Europe. She lectures at the Emunah faculty of arts and design and the art department at the Talpiot College of Education.
Sharon Weiser-Ferguson
Weiser-Ferguson curated many shows and has published books and articles, among them: "Divine Image: depicting God in Jewish and Israeli Art" (2006), "Forging Ahead: Wolpert and Gumbel, Israeli Silversmiths for the Modern Age" (2012), and "Pointing the Way: Women Design Ceremonial Objects" (2013).
Uri Rosenbach
Rosenbach served as the CEO and main auctioneer (licensed in New York) of a leading auction house in Israel. His understanding of the makeup and potential of the U.S. market led to the establishment of Stein Rose Fine Art in New York. Rosenbach decided to concentrate his efforts on strengthening the conversation surrounding contemporary Israeli art in Jerusalem and established Rosenbach Contemporary on King David St., one of the only private galleries in Jerusalem to exhibit and promote contemporary Israeli art.
Dr. David Sperber
Dr. David Sperber is an art historian, curator, and art critic. In the past, he served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute of Sacred Music, Yale University; a David Hartman Center for Intellectual Leadership research fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute, Jerusalem, and as head of the Curatorial Studies Program at the Schechter Institutes, Jerusalem. Currently, he is a student in the Israeli Rabbinical Program at the Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem. In 2012, he co-curated the international exhibition “Matronita: Jewish Feminist Art” at the Mishkan Museum of Art, Ein Harod, in Israel. Sperber’s book Devoted Resistance: Jewish Feminist Art in the United States and Israel was published by the Hebrew University Magnes Press in 2021.
