Historic Shaare Zedek Building

A former hospital building transformed into a cultural venue, blending historic architecture with contemporary exhibitions.

Historic Shaare Zedek Building venue

The historic Shaare Zedek building on Jaffa Road is a striking architectural landmark, opened in 1902 as Jerusalem's first modern hospital outside the Old City walls. Designed by German-Templar architect Theodor Sandel, the building served the city's diverse population for nearly eight decades before being restored in 1999. Its grand stone halls carry deep layers of collective memory, making it a resonant setting for exhibitions and cultural encounters.
